    Protecting The Print

    After printing, your canvas is treated with liquid laminate. This is used to protect the print from UV damage (keeping the colours bright), and increases the gamut of colours. Lamination is available in gloss or matte. Combinations of matte and gloss with spot varnishes can create stunning results. Try a white matte border with gloss over your image. Lamination comes standard and is recommend for all canvas prints.

    Stretcher Frames

    Stretcher frames are made with 1 1/2” thick clear pine. We manufacture all stretchers in our workshop studio. This means we can accomodate custom requests, such as oversize, extra thick stretchers or custom made from unconventional materials.

    Floating Frames

    Floating Frames

    We are pleased to introduce our new Floating Frames. Our solid, single piece floating frames are hand-made with clear kiln-dried pine, chopped here in Ontario.

    For artists and photographers, surrounding your canvas print with our floating frames adds a considerable amount of perceived value to your images. It adds to the size and weight of the finished piece.

    Our floating frames are treated with water-based wood conditioners and stains in your choice of colour to match your printed images. The stain is applied manually, which gives your prints a hand finished appearance that distinguish our product from mass produced framed images.

    Finishing Touches

    After your canvas is printed, laminated and stretched, we affix 17 gauge galvanized steel wire to 1/2” steel eyelets so your print is ready to hang. Of course, if you have alternative hanging hardware you would like to use, let us know. Because we don’t outsource any manufacturing, we are able to offer custom finishing, often at no extra cost.

    Other finishing options are available, such as mixed media embellishments, spot laminates and hand-painted topcoat gel for digital paintings.
