If you’re in the Kawartha Lakes this week and you’re looking to take in an art show, one that certainly has caught our attention is Art in the Fields at South Pond Farms. It’s a combination of photographers, sculpture, textiles, ceramics and more.
This past Sunday was the Opening Reception where visitors had the opportunity to meet the artists. This Thursday, July 4th, the Farm is hosting what they’re calling “Sunset, Sangria and Song”. Many of the artists will be at this free event, in case you missed the reception on Sunday.
Bobcaygeon’s own Fred Thornhill has brought a nature photography exhibition to the show. Fred has some new pieces that have never been printed before. (Fred brought a couple of prints from our studio for the event, so we have some brand new canvas prints of his up on our walls as well!)
Our good friend Barb Callander from Rolling Hills Photography is also setup in the silo of the Farm’s barn with canvas prints, fine art cards and photo books of her work.
South Pond Farms is truly a beautiful setting for any event, and the artists work this week really complement the surroundings. We highly recommend checking it out.
